The inside is shiny and has a variety of seating options. The blend of Texas and Australia is very cool, and what’s cuter than a platypus? They also have wine and cider available, and their menu has vegetarian, gluten-free, and Paleo options. It’s delicious, and you can’t find that style in many places. They blend Texan and Australian flavors and decor. Platypus Brewing is beautifully designed, is unique, and has a great kitchen. To top it off, Local Group has a phenomenal view of downtown. Or check out their happy hour every Wednesday and Thursday from 4 pm – 7 pm when they offer half off all beer and wine flights, select beers, and small bites. They have an extensive menu, and they have some wines available. Their burger is one of the best burgers I’ve had, and, with their cool logo emblazoned on the bun, it is Instagram-ready. The design inside is cool, their logo is cool, the beer is cool, and the people are cool. From the food and beverages they offer to the ambiance, these breweries have something special to make your evening (or morning, or afternoon – a date doesn’t have to be at night, right?) one to remember. While we love many Houston breweries, the ones on this list stood out to us as memorable dates for various reasons. Leo and I love exploring all Houston has to offer, but it’s hard to narrow down the best date spots. If you’re looking for a brewery to take your date to, Houston has an array of options.
